The brief
Who it’s for. What it needs to do.
Give a traveler a reason to book with the hotel directly.
Executive Inn & Suites is an Oakland waterfront hotel. The website sits within Cameron’s broader work across hotel marketing, photography and technology. It needs to explain the stay, answer practical travel questions and support the hotel’s own booking channel.
The work connects the property’s setting with the reasons people travel to Oakland: events, airport access, parking and time by the waterfront. Cameron’s role extends beyond a single launch into the content and imagery that keep the hotel visible.
Design decisions
A closer look at the choices behind the pages.
Make the setting part of the decision
The waterfront imagery gives the hotel a specific sense of place. Room and property information then develops that first impression. The website has to help someone picture the stay while keeping the practical booking route in view.
Answer the questions around the trip
Destination and event content expands the site beyond a room catalog. A traveler may begin with a trip-planning question before choosing a hotel. Those pages support discovery and lead back toward the property and its booking options.
The visitor journey
From the first question to the next step.
Picture the stay
Start with the setting, rooms and property information.
Plan the trip
Explore the details relevant to the visit, such as the location, events and getting around.
Check dates and book
Continue to the hotel’s booking engine when ready to check availability. The booking transaction is handled by that separate service.
Delivered work
What’s here, and what it demonstrates.
What was built
The public hotel website, supporting destination content and property photography form part of Cameron’s ongoing marketing and technology work for the hotel group.
The result in context
The site gives the hotel its own place to explain the stay and direct travelers toward booking. This presentation does not treat a website screenshot as proof of a specific change in booking revenue or search position.
