The brief
Who it’s for. What it needs to do.
Give a personal service an unhurried introduction.
Quietwater offers one-to-one care at a slow pace, and its Santa Fe clients want to know what a session involves before they reach out. They need a readable account of the services and a sense of the setting first.
This is a fictional business, and everything it says about itself was written for this sample.
Design decisions
A closer look at the choices behind the pages.
Explain the sessions with room to read
A statement homepage and wide spacing set a slow pace, and plain underlined links keep the interface out of the way. The services page lists each session in its own row, because the descriptions are what people decide on.
Extend the sense of place
The gallery runs its photos in a strip and keeps the same quiet look. About and Contact are separate pages, so nobody is pushed toward the form on every screen.
The visitor’s path
