The brief
Who it’s for. What it needs to do.
Help the right person take the next step toward an animal.
Adoption has an obvious place on every page of Harborview’s site, with room left for foster homes, volunteers and donors. People in Tacoma can meet the animals and learn about the rescue before they start an inquiry.
This is a fictional business, and everything it says about itself was written for this sample.

Make adoption a named destination
Adopt is a menu link, and the homepage’s first button, “Meet adoptable animals,” opens the same page. The split homepage keeps the message beside the photograph, with rounded buttons that match the friendly tone. The Adopt page itself has room to introduce dogs, cats and older animals.
Show more of the rescue’s world
The gallery picks up where the homepage photos leave off, with volunteers and the animals in their care. It carries the emotional side of the brief, and Adopt and About are still one click away.
