The brief
Who it’s for. What it needs to do.
Help a homeowner understand the electrical project before the first visit.
Halyard is a fictional Bay Area electrician developed as a complete local website concept. The brief goes beyond listing services: it gives homeowners useful ways to think about the work, from household electrical load to the age of their wiring and what happens on a job day.
The connected pages hold those explanations together. The personality comes from the trade and the questions a homeowner might bring to an electrician.
Design decisions
A closer look at the choices behind the pages.
Start with a clear electrical offering
The opening screen introduces the business and the type of work. The visual language stays grounded in residential electrical projects, giving the visitor a practical place to start before exploring the longer explanations.
Give the project more context
The website develops the homeowner journey through a load worksheet, wiring-era explanations and a job-day story. These are ways to make the service easier to discuss. They turn the concept into something more useful than a short list of electrical jobs.

The result in context
Halyard is a fictional business, so the project demonstrates design and content decisions. It has no client performance results or live service operation attached to it.
