Ferro's TrattoriaThird-generation Italian, since 1962.
Family Italian restaurant

When Nonno Ferrante opened the doors in 1962.

Our grandfather opened Ferro's on Atwells Avenue with one idea: bring the warmth of an Italian family table to Providence. Sixty years later, his recipes are still in the kitchen, and his grandchildren are still cooking them.

Our community

“My grandfather ate here in the 1960s. Being back at Ferro's feels like coming home — the food tastes exactly like it should, like someone's grandmother made it for you.”

V. Spirelli · Providence, RI

“We tried to get a reservation on a Friday night for our anniversary and got seated at the bar instead. The bartender made us a special cocktail, the pasta was perfect, and we've been back three times since.”
T. Rosetti · Federal Hill, RI
“The wood-fired pizza is unlike anything else in the city — you can taste the care. Every time I bring visiting family, they leave talking about that pizza for weeks.”
C. DeLuca · Providence, RI
