Before you reach out
It's okay to arrive unsure.
How do I know if therapy is right for me?
If you're asking the question, something in you is already reaching for support — that's reason enough to talk. A first conversation carries no commitment; it's simply a chance to say what you're carrying and see whether this feels like a place to set some of it down.
What if I don't know what to say?
You don't need a rehearsed story or a tidy problem. Most people begin somewhere in the middle, and that's exactly where we'll meet you. Silence is welcome here, too — some of the most important sessions start slowly.
How long does therapy take?
As long as it needs to, and no longer. Some people come for a season, around a single loss or transition; others stay with the work for years. We'll check in about it together, openly — and when it's time to end, we'll close with the same care we began with.
Ready to start?
We have sliding-scale spots available and can often meet you within two weeks. Telehealth is available for anyone in California.
