When should we visit?

October gets the postcards — the whole valley turns gold — but February, when snow hushes the woods completely, is the season our regulars keep to themselves. The stoves work year-round.

What's nearby?

Woodstock and Kingston are easy drives, Belleayre Mountain is about twenty minutes, and the Esopus Creek runs close enough to hear. Most guests arrive with plans and surrender them to the porch.

Do the rooms have televisions?

No — we traded screens for wood stoves, deep chairs, and shelves worth reading. Nobody has missed them yet.

Thinking about a night away?

The woods are quiet this time of year. The creek sounds like it does nowhere else. Come.
